Prof. Miller and dr. Selgelid from CAPPE wrote the report ‘Ethical and Philosophical Aspects of the Dual-use Dilemma in the Biological Sciences’ on request of the Australian government. The 3TU.Centre for Ethics and Technology has invited prof. Miller to discuss this topic with Dutch scientists and policy makers during an expert meeting.
The expert meeting is for invited guests only. In the meeting, which will take place in The Hague, three experts will give a presentation. Afterwards, there will be time for discussion and exchange between the participants. The speakers are:
Prof. dr. Seumas Miller (CAPPE)
Prof. Miller is currently connected to the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics (CAPPE, Australia) and is acknowledged internationally as an expert in police ethics and criminal justice ethics. Download his talk here.

Van den Bruggen is currently connected to the Royal Netherlands Acadamy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), where he is working on a code of conduct ‘Biosecurity’ for researchers in the life sciences.
