We are very happy to introduce you to Myrthe van Nus, the new assistant director of the 3TU.Ethics Daily Board!
Myrthe studied philosophy (MA) and law (LLM) at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. She specialised in philosophy of man and culture and criminal law, and graduated cum laude both times.
Before joining the 3TU.Ethics centre she worked at the Erasmus University as academic researcher in eighteenth-century philosophy and wrote research proposals on the nature of the Enlightenment. Also, she worked as a policy advisor to the Erasmus Honours Academy. This job was all about extra initiatives for excellent university students. From April 2015 until July 2015 Myrthe was acting assistant director of the Dutch Research School of Philosophy (the OZSW).
During her studies Myrthe was student-assistant at various departments, taught a lot of workgroups and sat on many boards. Besides this, she taught philosophy to highly gifted children from primary schools, worked at a law firm and at the court of Rotterdam.
Next to her job as assistant director, Myrthe hopes to conduct research in the ethics of technology in her own time. She is currently looking for a research subject.
Myrthe is very much looking forward to work with everybody involved in the 3TU.Ethics. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact her!
