The World Technology Awards are presented each year by the World Technology Network (WTN) in association with TIME magazine, Fortune, CNN, Science/AAAS among others. The World Technology Awards have been presented since 2000 to the outstanding innovators within the science/technology arena for the innovative work of the greatest likely long-term significance – both as a way to honor those innovators, and as a vetting mechanism to determine the newest WTN members. Each year, nominations are made both by current individual WTN members (primarily winners/finalists for previous Award cycles) and directly by those such as yourself. Current individual WTN members are the ones who vote their preference among the nominee pool from within their particular Award category. The Award winners are announced in a “black-tie” gala ceremony at the close of the annual World Technology Summit.
