4TU.Ethics Research day
The 4TU Centre for Ethics and Technology will host its biannual research day on 20 September 2023 in Utrecht at Stadskasteel Oudaen, Oudegracht 99. Whether presenting or not, all 4TU.Ethics members are welcome to join.
Our general ambition for the research day is to give the members of our community the opportunity to meet up, not only to discuss relatively matured research with peers and colleagues, but also to present or encounter more embryonic ideas or works-in-progress.
Given this ambition, we welcome all kinds of presentation formats. Next to conventional presentations, we also welcome abstracts for panels, PechaKuchas, and posters. If you are considering yet another presentation format, please get in touch with us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Basically, the only criterion is that contributions somehow concern philosophy and ethics of technology (not necessarily limited to the disruptive technologies that many members are working on in the context of the ESDiT program).
Abstracts for conventional presentations, PechaKuchas, and posters should be about 300 words. Proposals for panels about 400. Please submit your contributions and preferred format to by 26 May 2023. We will notify applicants by the beginning of June 2023.
Attendance will be free for all 4TU.Ethics members. We unfortunately cannot offer reimbursement for travel and accommodation. Registration is already open 4TU.Ethics Research day 2023 - Register (wur.nl) and will close on 12 June 2023.
We look forwards to receiving your proposals for creative presentations.
