Astola, M. (Mandi)

Mandi Astola is a assistant professor at the Delft University of Technology.

She was a PhD student at Eindhoven University of Technology. She works on the ethics of co-creation for technological innovation as a part of the Horizon 2020 project SCALINGS. Her work is centred around the question “What ethical norms should we have in the context of co-creating new technologies with multiple stakeholders?” Mandi is especially interested in how virtue theories can provide guidance for ethical innovative cooperation between different parties.

Mandi obtained a bachelor-degree in philosophy at Utrecht University. After this she completed a master in history and philosophy of science at Utrecht University. She wrote her master-thesis on the ethics of electronic coaching.
