Conference ‘Moral Responsibility: Neuroscience, Organization & Engineering’

Conference, August 24 – 27, 2009, Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands

Who is responsible, for which outcomes and under what circumstances? What are our responsibilities and to whom are they owed? Who are responsible agents, and to which spheres of activity does their responsible agency extend? Who should take responsibility, for what and how? This conference will address these and similar traditional philosophical questions about responsibility, with a special focus on the following theme areas: (a) responsibility in neuroscience and the law, (b) collective and individual responsibility, and (c) responsibility in science and engineering.
